Sustainability is an increasingly important theme within society. Consumers and organizations are trying to limit their ecological footprint to combat rapid climate and environmental changes. LDL Care also seeks to contribute to a sustainable society with Meet & Wash. We do this by exclusively working with ecological machines. We adjust the drum size of these machines, in consultation with our client, based on the expected needs of the users. This way, the drum will be fully filled in most cases when using the washing machine. It is wasteful and certainly not sustainable to run the washing machine or dryer with a half-filled drum.
The sharing economy fits with a sustainable society.
Professional white goods more sustainable than private models
Furthermore, professional washing machines and dryers are generally a more sustainable choice than the household models ordered by consumers from an electronics store. Sustainability is not only reflected in relatively low energy consumption but also in a higher number of operating hours. This means the machine will last longer and need to be replaced less frequently.
Impact on the social sustainability of users
In addition to sustainability in terms of climate and environment, there is also social sustainability. The social sustainability of people reflects their well-being and that of future generations. Meet & Wash is a concept that contributes to the social sustainability of its users. The idea behind our concept is to bring groups of people together. While the washing machine or dryer is doing its job, users have the opportunity to meet, have a conversation, and perhaps start forming new friendships. Social contacts enhance people's well-being, thereby improving social sustainability.
